HPE-UX SNAplus2 API for servers provides a wide variety of 'C' language API libraries for SNAplus2 network environment APIs to enable application communications.Combined with the HPE-UX SNAplus2 Link product, HPE-UX SNAplus2 API gives HPE customers the ability to develop applications that are distributed between an HPE 9000 or Integrity Server and an IBM host or peer system (the peer system can be another HPE 9000 or Integrity Server).HPE-UX SNAplus2 API can be configured as either standalone or client/server. The standalone configuration allows access to IBM mainframes or peer systems for a single HPE-UX computer, which has its own HPE-UX SNAplus2 Link. The client/server configuration permits access to the IBM system from multiple HPE-UX computers on an Ethernet (10 or 100 Base-T), Token Ring or FDDI LAN. These computers generally use a single HPE9000 computer with HPE-UX SNAplus2 Link as a gateway to access the IBM system.
