INSPIRING SUSTAINABLE IT PROCUREMENT WEBINAR 2023 - REPORT

There has been a lot of positive reaction to Markit’s first SUSTAINABLE IT PROCUREMENT webinar which was broadcast live on November 2nd, 2023. 

The response is unsurprising considering the growing pressure on, and genuine interest from, international companies to make their IT procurement processes more sustainable (on many levels). 

Over 300 procurement professionals from all over the world enjoyed four thought-provoking presentations (20 minutes each) on relevant sustainable procurement topics.

  • The importance of independent compliance verification to manage sustainability risks and avoid greenwashing.

The Importance of Strategic Sustainable Procurement by Sarah O'Brien, CEO at the Sustainable Purchasing Leadership Council

Sarah’s presentation focused on:

Lenovo 360 Circle: Collaboration as a key pillar to implement sustainable business model practices and reach ESG goals by Virginie LE BARBU, Global Sustainability Director at Lenovo

Each presentation was followed by a Q&A with the respective speaker, and at the end of the webinar, the speakers formed a panel and took more questions. The Q&A provided more enlightening moments and memorable quotes. You will have to watch the videos to catch them all but here is one we enjoyed especially.
