Dieser Hub bietet 4 externe Hightspeed USB 480 Mbit Anschlüsse, die selbst von Firewire nicht übertroffen werden. Der Hub bietet alle Vorteile von USB: alle angeschlossenen Geräte werden vom Hub direkt erkannt, ohne aufwendige oder komplizierte Installation, eben echtes Plug and Play. Insbesondere das Arbeiten mit Peripheriegeräten wie Scanner oder Drucker die dem Standard USB 2.0 wird erleichtert, vorbei ist die Zeit in der man die Bequemlichkeit der USB Installation mit einem Verlust an Geschwindigkeit "bezahlen" musste. Auch für Verbindungen mit USB Geräten des USB Standards 1.1 ist die DUB-H4 einsetzbar. Hier optimiert sie die Datenübertragung so das die Geschwindigkeit auch im "älteren" USB Standard optimiert werden kann.

  The DUB-H4 is designed to provide quick and easy access to the 4 type A downstream ports to connect to peripherals with USB 2.0 support, other USB hubs and devices. A single type B upstream port is provided to connect to the host computer, or another USB hub.

  As a standard USB hub, it buffers USB data from any attached peripherals or devices in compliance with USB specification versions 1.1 and 2.0 to provide an invisible extension of the USB bus. Supporting both low-speed 1.5Mbps devices, full-speed 12Mbps devices and high speed 480Mbps, each port creates a bridge between the peripheral and host computer.
