Markit Portugal, Unipessoal Lda. is an internet-based IT equipment procurement system for companies and organizations.

Privacy policy

Any information gathered during the registration process or during ordering is kept confidential and will never be shared with third parties. MarkIT may use this information to consult with credit rating agencies or other information sources to determine the amount of credit to be applied. In addition, MarkIT may use the information provided to:

  • send users updates regarding the status of their orders and transactions or relevant changes in their user accounts
  • at the consent of the user, send promotional materials and product offers to user emails and/or postal address
  • recommend solutions or product offers that MarkIT believes would be suitable or beneficial for the customer

Account registration

In order to take advantage of the full functionality of the MarkIT system, you are required to be a registered user. During the registration process, the following information will be requested: company name, company registration number, billing address, shipping address, contact person, contact phone, contact e-mail.

All fields are mandatory for successful account registration.

Upon successful registration, the user can log in with the selected username and password, and the account will be instantly activated to allow orders to be placed in the MarkIT system. If your company has no approved credit line, prepayment or online payment methods can be selected.

Payment and credit conditions

After the initial registration, the default method of payment will be in advance based on a pro-forma invoice.

To apply for credit terms, the Credit Application Form needs to be filled out indicating the desired level of credit. In the event that a credit line cannot be approved, the company will be informed about the decision. Even without an approved line of credit, any company can still take advantage of purchasing with the MarkIT system by using prepayment methods (pro-forma invoice, direct bank link, credit card payment, etc.)

Under this agreement, the payment processing services for goods and/or services purchased on this website can be provided either by Markit Portugal, Unipessoal Lda. or on its behalf by MarkIT Holding AS, depending on the type of payment method used for the purchase of the goods and/or services.

Product catalogue and searching

MarkIT’s product catalogue is divided into main product groups with product information provided by CNet DataSource.

Browsing the product catalogue

The product catalogue is divided into main product groups and, in most cases, sub-groups. Find the right product group and sub-group and you will be shown all available products in that group, along with their availability, estimated delivery date, and price information.

Using the full text search

The full text search field is situated above the product catalogue tree on the left. The search engine will find all products having a description or product code that includes the search words. If you know the exact product code, then that will give the best answer.

Using parametric search

The parametric search option is located above each main product group listing and enables users to look for products according to their own specific search terms.

Please note that by default, the MarkIT catalogue display only products that have stock levels greater than 0. You can change this option to display all the products that are in our catalogue instead, but be aware that not necessarily every product will be in stock.

In the event the product you are searching for is not available, please contact MarkIT’s Customer Support for price and availability information.


Once you have found the products you wish to order, add them to the shopping basket by clicking on the “shopping basket” icon next to the product price information.

You must be logged into your registered account to complete the order by following these steps:

  • Review the products and quantities in your basket
  • Enter / select delivery address
  • Review and submit the order

Estimated delivery dates can be seen during the order review process and also in the order confirmation e-mail.


By default, the Markit Portugal, Unipessoal Lda. catalogue displays all prices in local currency and excluding any taxes. These settings can be changed in the “My Settings” panel.

Shipping and handling fees may apply. This information will be shown during checkout.

Prices may change right up until the time an order is submitted and confirmed. The most up-to-date price is always shown in the basket and on the order confirmation page. An online price check can be performed even while the User is navigating the product page or in viewing the basket. Beneficial pricing changes can be applied to all non-confirmed orders.

Shipping and delivery

The estimated delivery date is calculated during the order process and displayed while browsing the products in the product catalog.

Goods are delivered door-to-door directly from distributor stocks in co-operation with third- party couriers or other means. In case of special arrangements, any relevant information will be displayed during the check-out process.

Order cancellation and returns

All products sold by MarkIT are delivered directly from our suppliers' stocks. MarkIT does not keep any stock.


Orders submitted by the user can only be cancelled by MarkIT customer support. In the event of a mistake on the order, the customer should contact MarkIT customer support as quickly as possible – preferably within one hour of submitting the order.


Returns will be handled on a case-by-case basis. The items to be returned must be in their original packaging and unopened. Depending on the nature and price of the product and on our supplier’s policy, fees of up to 75% of the product price may apply in the event that the item is being returned due to customer error. Shipping costs for items being returned will be the responsibility of the customer.

We work in close cooperation with both the customer and the distributor to ensure that each individual return transaction is solved in a fair and satisfactory manner.

If the return is initiated due to a faulty product description or other similar mistake by MarkIT, we will assume the full responsibility and costs associated with the return.

Order tracking

All MarkIT registered users can track their open orders and view their order history under the "Pending Orders” and “Order History" tab in the “Review” subsection.

Warranty repair

MarkIT mediates the warranty terms and conditions of product manufacturers.

Warranty repairs are handled by manufacturer certified service centres both locally and around europe according to the terms set by the manufacturers and/or distributors.

Our customers can request warranty repairs by opening a warranty case on the MarkIT website (https://www.markit.eu/pt/en/Admin/Issues.aspx)or by applying for warranty directly to the manufacturer or their official service centre.

If warranty services are not available locally then the item in question will be shipped to the distributor or a service centre elsewhere in europe who, after examining the product, will decide if it will be repaired, replaced or credited.

We will notify our customers of the decision as soon as it’s available to us.
