Financial Performance

Significant revenue growth in a year as challenging as 2022 is great to see and ours can be explained by several factors:

•    Client satisfaction has increased. Our NPS is 78.6, up 4% on 2021. (Over 70% is recognised as “world class”).
•    New (active) client accounts grew by 1%.
•    Marketplace and system upgrades further enhanced time and money-saving potential for our clients.
•    The number of products sold increased 5%.
•    The number of unique IT products available in Markit marketplace increased to 5 million making Markit the largest single-vendor IT marketplace in the world.
•    Further expansion, Markit is now present in 42 countries across 6 continents.

Markit’s annual revenue increased 21.6%, from 178.7 million euros in 2021 to 217.8 in 2022.

In summary, 2022 posed an excellent opportunity to continue helping clients old and new, even when markets faced the last waves of COVID-19 and a new terrible crisis, the Ukraine war.

In the past two years revenue has almost doubled, growing from 122.5 million to 217.8 million euros.

Our market grew by 6.7% in 2021 (Source: Context) while Markit grew by 21.8% which further highlights the quality of our result.

We experienced growth across all markets and all segments.

“We are proud of our annual average 29% growth rate since our formation in 2003, and regularly outperforming our competitors.

Of course, in 2023 we will face challenges with the slowdown in the economy and decrease in IT spend.
However, thanks to our success in recent years, and full refinancing of our debt in 2021, we are very well equipped to face a downturn – fully supported by an amazing culture and a highly talented team of Markiteers, many of whom have successfully handled crises in the past.

Furthermore, Markit is provider of efficiency and savings.
In a tough economic environment, demand can grow as we can be especially useful and valuable to both existing and new clients.

We remain positive for 2023 and are targeting 10 to 20% growth despite the economic uncertainty.
We continue forward, towards our Vision of 1 billion EUR of revenue with 500 people by 2028.
In 2023, we will continue to expand our operations and client base in Europe, the Americas, Asia, and Africa."
