Markit Shortlisted for World Procurement Awards 2020

 ·

This year Markit entered the World Procurement Awards for the first time and we have been shortlisted for the final in the P2P Specialist Provider Category!

This is exciting and welcome news for a couple of reasons!

  • It’s the first time an Estonian company has got to the finals of The World Procurement Awards.

  • It’s the first time a vertical category (indirect IT in our case) supplier has been shortlisted (as far as we know).

The World Procurement Awards is the “Oscars” of our industry and so we’d like to say a few thankyous:

  • To all our clients. It’s your success in using Markit to save your companies time and money that has made this possible. In 2019, our 9500+ clients in 34 countries saved an average of 12.5% on IT product prices plus numerous time & efficiency gains in IT purchasing processes, worth millions.

  • To our Markiteers. It’s our hard work ability to help our clients succeed that make our clients’ results so special and worthy of consideration for a world class award. Our clients gave us 64.5% Net Promoter Score in 2019 (that’s impressive!). We deserve a pat on the back, all 134 of us.

  • To the WPA judges. Thank you for looking beyond horizontal solution providers and have the insight to recognise that the ability to create significant time and money savings in the indirect IT category is an area worthy of shortlisting for the P2P Specialist Provider Award.

TAKE THE CHASING
OUT OF IT PURCHASING!

I’m extremely proud of our team and clients. Industry recognition follows what we’ve been hearing from our clients for years.

Having Markit as your IT purchasing partner really does solve a significant number of challenging issues globally for IT buyers, CPOs and other key stakeholders related to the IT procurement function.

And on top of that, one of our major clients, Danfoss has also been shortlisted – for the External Collaboration Award.

Claus Mikkelsen, Global Category Manager at Danfoss says, “I’d like to thank the World Procurement Awards 2020 judges for shortlisting Danfoss as a finalist in the External Collaboration category for our EMEA project to consolidate and reduce our indirect IT spend  across 28 countries with our partner Markit.

This validates my team’s success in producing savings of 15%, eliminating thousands of hours of IT purchasing process time and creating additional value to support other business functions within The Danfoss Group.”
