F-Secure Client Security biedt centraal beheerde, geavanceerde en proactieve beveiliging legen traditionele en nieuwe zero-daybedreigingen voor desktop- en laptopcomputers.
F-Secure Client Security stopt (realtime) automatisch virussen en aanvallen met schadelijke codes, of die aanvallen nu via e-mail, het web, diskettes of CD-ROMs zijn. Doordat POP3-, IMAP4-, SMTP- en UTTP-verkeer wordt gescand, kunnen virussen niet worden verzonden of ontvangen via e-mail of het web. Meerdere scanengines zorgen voor een uilstekende beveiliging tegen virussen. Om de installatie te vergemakkelijken, zoekt F-Secure Client Security naar antivirusprogramma's die een conflict kunnen opleveren en verwijdert deze tijdens de installatie. De databases met virusdefinities zijn overzichtelijk en worden een of twee keer per dag automatisch bijgewerkt, waarbij slechts weinig bandbreedte wordt gebruikt. De fail-over functie zorgt ervoor dat zelfs als de hoofdserver onbereikbaar is, F-Secure Client Security de nieuwste beveiliging tegen nieuwe virussen kan blijven bieden.

• Automatic real-time protection
  F-Secure Client Security automatically stops viruses, spyware and malicious code in real-time, whether they are spreading via e-mail, web or removable media, like USB-sticks. By scanning POP3, IMAP4, SMTP and HTTP traffic, the solution prevents viruses from being sent or received via e-mail or web. To make installation easier, F-Secure Client Security recognizes most potentially conflicting antivirus programs and automatically removes them during installation.
• Transparent and automatic updates
  The updateable scanning engine enables fast and carefree maintenance and offers quick and smooth responses against constantly evolving threats. Virus definition databases are transparently and automatically updated at least once a day. Neighbor casting feature allows database downloads also from other clients inside the LAN, thus minimizing bandwidth use. The fail-over feature ensures that F-Secure Client Security offers up-to-date protection against new viruses, even if the primary delivery server is unreachable.

  F-Secure DeepGuard is a unique Network Host-based Intrusion Prevention System (NHIPS) technology. It combines advanced heuristics, sandboxing and run-time behavioral blocking as well as network queries. It also works seamlessly with conventional definition-based scanning systems. This unique multitier approach adds usability by decreasing the amount of false alarms. Network queries increase the speed of response and decrease the user involvement.   The integrated desktop firewall with stateful inspection provides robust monitoring and filtering of Internet traffic and prevents unauthorized access to workstations over the network.
