Moien Luxembourg!
Markit ‘s Expansion Continues

 ·

Luxembourg, one of the world’s major financial and business centres, is our 42nd Markit country of operation and another step towards total European coverage (we are now present in 24 European countries.)

Companies based in Luxembourg, and our multinational clients with operations in Luxembourg, can now register and buy online immediately at the Markit IT marketplace , available in English, French and German.

“Completing BENELUX coverage is a significant Markit milestone and enhances our credibility in this highly developed and strategic country, home to the headquarters of some of Europes leading consumer and financial services companies. From day one we are able to draw on our extensive distributor and vendor relationships in the Netherlands, Belgium, France and Germany to deliver an even wider choice of IT hardware and accessories to our clients with operations in Luxembourg.“

“We have been helping companies in Luxembourg for some years already but we admit there have been challenges with serving them in an optimal way due to regulatory, tax, and cross-border delivery issues. Now we are open our clients, existing and new, access to more multilingual keyboard options and a wider range of spare parts, plus they will be served better with localised invoicing. Choice goes go up, time spent on IT purchasing goes down, financial savings increase. A definite win for all Luxembourgian companies.”

DID YOU KNOW?
The number 42 is auspicious and bodes well for the future for business in Luxembourg.

Why so?

  • Well, some say 42 is the answer to the meaning of life, the universe and everything! (Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy) Could this signify the potential importance of simple, transparent and cost effective IT purchasing for Luxembourgian countries?
  • Forty-two is the ASCII code for the symbol * also known as the asterisk. This symbol is often thought to translate to anything or everything. Could this signify a much wider choice of products?
  • Two physical constants in the universe are the speed of light and the diameter of a proton. It takes light 10 to the minus 42nd power seconds to cross the diameter of a proton. Could this signify faster deliveries?
  • The angle at which light reflects off water to create a rainbow is 42 degrees. Something magical has happened in Luxembourg!
