Markit - MOTIVATED TO WIN GLOBAL RECOGNITION

 ·

Last week at the World Procurement Awards we found out that Markit didn’t win the Specialist P2P Solution Provider award. It was disappointing, there’s no hiding that fact.

But on reflection we have nothing to be sad about.

It was our first attempt to enter the World Procurement Awards and we made it to the finals. The first time an Estonian company has achieved such a feat and it’s also a first for an IT marketplace. Not only that, but our client Danfoss also made the Finals in the External Collaboration category for their amazing work and considerable IT procurement savings generated with Markit.

As our CEO, Andres Agasild says, “We take this result like champions and use it to learn that we did amazingly well but can do better. It’s just like losing in the World Cup final, a fantastic achievement and an incentive to go one better next year! I’m enormously proud of our team, our clients and I’d like to say thank you to the global panel of procurement expert judges who recognized the huge amount time and money savings we have produced for our 9000+ clients in 35 countries.”

The winners in our category were Ivalua and so we offer massive congratulations to them. We have worked with Ivalua before and we hope to do so again. The best of the best can always find synergies.

So, as we say at Markit, inch by inch we go onwards and upwards, growing stronger and better every day.

Already during Covid-19 we have seen an increase in demand for our services as we are well positioned to serve clients who need reliable and cost-effective supplies of IT accessories around the globe to serve their remote working needs and critical projects.
