The Dawicontrol DC-1394 PCI FireWire controller is expanding the range of interface cards of the well-known German manufacturer of SCSI host adapters and Ultra DMA RAID controllers. The new universal multimedia interface has become more and more important in the IT-market. Advantages of the FireWire interface are the possibility to create junctions for the interlinking of peripheral devices, the high data transfer rate, as well as the simple and universal usability. Even an interlinking of computers with a forty fold Ethernet-speed is possible.
